The Val Verde Historical Society collects, preserves, exhibits and makes accessible to the public materials and knowledge to support and promote understanding of Val Verde’s history, culture, and arts.
The Val Verde Historical Society is a registered 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit organization.

Dedicated to preserve, collect, research, interpret, and restore historical information, items, buildings of Val Verde, California's famed resort community established for Black People at a time when they were barred from many public recreational areas.
We work to keep traditional events alive right here in Val Verde including a Black History Month Celebration, Juneteenth, and a Labor Day Celebration.
Many of these events have been taking place dating back to the 1950s.

We are working diligently on organizing the wide variety of documents, photos, videos, interviews, audio and more capturing the amazing history of Val Verde, CA.
Ranging from the "Black Palm Springs" Era to the long spanning traditional events at the park continuing today.
As a 501c(3) we rely on donations to help support and sustain our current and future efforts of honoring the history of Val Verde, CA.
We are offering a variety of ways individuals or businesses can donate including monthly, quarterly, or one time allotments.
