Dedicated to preserve, collect, research, interpret, and restore historical information, items, buildings of Val Verde, California's famed resort community established for Black People at a time when they were barred from many public recreational areas.

Upcoming Events
We work to keep traditional events alive right here in Val Verde including a Black History Month Celebration, Juneteenth, and a Labor Day Celebration.
Many of these events have been taking place dating back to the 1950s.

We are working diligently on organizing the wide variety of documents, photos, videos, interviews, audio and more capturing the amazing history of Val Verde, CA.
Ranging from the "Black Palm Springs" Era to the long spanning traditional events at the park continuing today.
