Our Mission

Dedicated to preserve, collect, research, interpret, and restore historical information, items, buildings of Val Verde, California's famed resort community established for Negros at a time when Black people were barred from many public recreational areas.

We are working diligently on organizing the wide variety of documents, photos, videos, interviews, audio and more capturing the amazing history of Val Verde, CA.

 

Ranging from the "Black Palm Springs" Era to the long spanning traditional events at the park continuing today.
